Courses Terms and Conditions

Welcome to ElectroMentors, a platform providing unique industry-based online courses in electrical and computer engineering. By accessing and using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use the platform.

Eligibility

By using our platform, you confirm that you are at least [18] years of age or the legal age required to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are under the required age, you must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Account Registration

To access our courses, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update it if necessary. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activities under your account.

Use of Platform

You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the terms outlined. Unauthorized use, including but not limited to hacking, distributing malicious software, or using the platform for any unlawful activities, is prohibited.

Courses and Content

Our platform provides access to courses, including videos, lectures, reading materials, and assignments. All course contents are copyrighted by ElectroMentors Inc. and/or the course instructors. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the course materials for your personal, non-commercial educational use. You must NOT copy, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without collecting the required permission.

Instructor Responsibilities

Instructors are responsible for ensuring that their course titles, descriptions, and content do not violate any NDAs, licenses, or other protected agreements. Instructors must also ensure they have obtained any necessary licenses for software (if any) used in their courses. As stated in their contracts, any misuse of software, violation of license agreements, or disclosure of NDA-protected content by instructors is strictly prohibited. ElectroMentors Inc. provides the platform for course delivery but is not responsible for the content, guidance, or suggestions provided by instructors. ElectroMentors Inc. will not be liable for any breaches, errors, or issues resulting from an instructor’s content, guidance, or misuse of software, licenses, or NDA content. The responsibility for compliance lies entirely with the instructor. If ElectroMentors Inc. identifies any breach of these terms, it reserves the right to take immediate action, including terminating the instructor’s contract and removing the associated course(s) from the platform.

Payment and Registration

Course fees, if applicable, are listed on the platform. Payment must be made at the time of registration via the available payment methods. Access to courses will be granted only after successful payment processing.

Course Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

It’s not uncommon for courses to be rescheduled or occasionally cancelled due to unexpected circumstances. If a course is cancelled, you’ll receive a full refund. If it’s rescheduled or had an instructor change, we’ll let you know at least five days in advance — by signing up and registering a course, you agree that rescheduling may happen. If you can’t attend the new date/time, you’ll receive full access to the course recording and materials, along with direct access to the instructor to ask any questions from the instructor. After completing the course, you’ll surely receive your certificate of completion. 

Refund Policy

All purchases at ElectroMentors website are final, and we kindly ask that you review your selections carefully before completing your order. Thank you for your understanding. Refunds are generally not provided once you have gained access to the course content. However, we recognize that exceptional circumstances may occur. Refund requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion. If you believe your situation qualifies for consideration, please contact us with the relevant details, and we will review your request promptly.

When a refund is issued, it will be processed using the exchange rate applicable on the day of the refund. Please note that if the exchange rate has changed since the original transaction, the refunded amount may differ from the original payment. This difference could result in either a slight gain or loss for the customer. Please note that ElectroMentors Inc. is unable to compensate for any discrepancies caused by currency fluctuations or related fees imposed by payment providers as these factors are beyond our control.

User Conduct

You agree not to engage in the following:

  • Infringement of intellectual property rights.

  • Harassment, defamation, or any form of offensive behavior.

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or platform features.

  • Engaging in any behavior that disrupts the platform’s functionality or other users’ experience.

Intellectual Property

All website platform course content, tools, and materials are owned by ElectroMentors Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You must NOT use any material from the platform for commercial purposes without permission.

Privacy and Data Protection

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

While we make efforts to ensure the accuracy of course materials, course materials and instructions are under the instructor’s responsibility. ElectroMentors Inc. does not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or availability of the content. All courses are provided “as is,” and we disclaim any warranties regarding the results or outcomes of using our platform. 

Equity, Diversion, Inclusion, & Reconciliation (EDI & R)

Electromentors Inc. prioritizes equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism (EDI&R) as core values and actively promotes adherence to these principles among all instructors and mentors. While Electromentors Inc. encourages and supports EDI&R practices, it is the sole responsibility of each Instructor/Mentor to uphold these standards as outlined in their contracts (EDI&R Clause). Electromentors Inc. explicitly disclaims any responsibility for breaches of any clauses of EDI&R by course Instructors/Mentors. The Instructors/mentors acknowledge full responsibility for any legal or regulatory consequences resulting from such breaches. If you become aware of any issues or concerns regarding an Instructor’s conduct, please contact Electromentors Inc. directly. Any such violations by an Instructor will not be tolerated and will be deemed as a breach of the Agreement. 

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ElectroMentors Inc. is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the use or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. ElectroMentors Inc. is not responsible for the content provided by instructors, including course materials, suggestions, or guidance. Any liability arising from instructor content remains solely with the instructor.

Amendments

Electromentors Inc. may update or modify these terms from time to time. All changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Termination

Electromentors Inc. reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in prohibited activities. You may terminate your account at any time by notifying us, though this does not entitle you to a refund if fees have already been paid.

Governing Law

These terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

Bootcamp’s
Terms and Conditions

Participation Terms, Conditions, and Policies

1. Agreement to Terms

By registering for either the ElectroMentors Data Center Bootcamp or Foundations of Partial Discharge Measurement (the “Event”), or submitting an abstract or paper, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not register or attend the Event.

2. Eligibility

You confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. If under age, registration requires approval by a parent or legal guardian.

3. Registration & Payment

For those registering: Registration is complete only after full payment is processed. Access is granted once payment clears.

4. Purchases Are Final

All sales for Event registrations are final. Once your registration is accepted and payment processed:

  • No cancellations or refunds will be permitted after purchase.

  • Access Transfers might be available. Please, contact: info@electromentors.com

  • If the Event is cancelled entirely by ElectroMentors, a full refund will be issued to you.

5. Course Content License

You receive a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Bootcamp materials for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. Unauthorized copying, modification, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property associated with the Event—including presentations, handouts, software, and recordings—is owned by ElectroMentors Inc. or its licensors. Unauthorized use or share is strictly forbidden.

7. Conduct

Attendees must comply with professional standards. Any misconduct, harassment, or disruption may result in removal from the Event without a refund.

8. Cancellations by ElectroMentors

ElectroMentors reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the Bootcamp if unforeseen circumstances arise. In such cases, you will receive a full refund.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

All Event materials, instructions, and content are provided “as is.” ElectroMentors disclaims all warranties regarding the accuracy, suitability, or outcomes from participating in the Bootcamp. Liability is limited to direct monetary damages up to the amount paid for the Event registration. ElectroMentors is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. ElectroMentors and its affiliates, sponsors, partners, instructors, and venue providers are not responsible or liable for any personal injury, health issue, illness, accident, or loss of property that may occur during or as a result of attending the event, except where required by law. Attendees accept full responsibility for their participation.

10. Privacy & Data

Personal data collected during registration will be handled in accordance with ElectroMentors’ Privacy Policy. By registering, you consent to the use and storage of your data as described therein.

11. Visa Request or Sponsorship

ElectroMentors will not request or sponsor any visa on behalf of registrants; all individuals are solely responsible for obtaining their own travel documentation and ensuring compliance with applicable immigration requirements. 

12. Amendments

ElectroMentors may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updates will be posted on the website, and your continued use or attendance constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
