Dr. Sibin Mohan

HVDC and FACTS

Sibin Mohan, a Ph.D. degree holder in Electrical engineering, has over eight years of experience in power system modeling and studies. With extensive experience on modeling and studies for HVDC, Inverter Based Generators (IBR) and Large Loads, he has supported clients across multiple ISOs in North America, contributed to the development of Renewable and Large Load projects. He has a strong background in performing dynamic and electromagnetic transient (EMT) modeling, and studies for the integration of Inverter Based Resources (IBR), and HVDC projects. He has published 6 IEEE transaction papers, and more than 15 international conference papers. Actively engaged in the professional community, he is a dedicated member of various IEEE and NERC working groups, focusing on Inverter-Based Resources and large load modeling. Furthermore, he is also volunteering as a reviewer for select IEEE journals and serves as a mirror committee member for Standards Council of Canada (SCC).
